A Bible-based alphabet program for young children, moved from desktop software to a web app that works on any device
A to Z Who God Says I Am is a faith-based alphabet program for pre-readers, created by a US non-profit literacy organisation. Children learn letter by letter, with real-life pictures and audio for each letter sound and word, and scripture taught alongside the letters.
IndaPoint rebuilt the original desktop software as a progressive web app. It keeps the same learning structure, images and audio, and adds finger tracing on the scripture page. Families register with a short free form, and the app runs on phones, tablets and desktops.
The program only ran as desktop software, so it had to be installed on a computer, while families and classrooms had moved to phones and tablets. Young children learn by touch rather than with a mouse and keyboard. Access had to stay simple, with no passwords to manage, and the new app had to keep the original teaching exactly as it was.
